These are a few of my favorite things....

I personally use these resources for my business and would not recommend them if I did not trust them!
Asana
Whether you’re a solopreneur or have a team, Asana is simple to use and has lots of features.
There is a free version, so you can prioritize your tasks in an easy-to-use format so that you know exactly what needs to get done today and in the future.
With a paid version, you can set goals, get reports and more. Did I mention you can also customize it to suit your needs?
I use Asana every day and love it. Click here to learn more about it: asana.com
Monday.com
If you have a team to manage, Monday is a great tool to use. You set up workspaces with boards for each project. It’s easy to set up groups, folders and workflows so that you know what every team member is working on and the progress on each project.
There are options for customizing and tons of apps to integrate so that you have everything you need at your fingertips. I’m on Monday as part of a team, and it has saved us so much time by not having to go back and forth trying to figure out who is doing what. It also has different views which is super cool (calendar, Gantt, etc.). This is just one way to use it.

Atlassian Trello
This is the tool to use for project management or keeping daily tasks under control, especially if you are a brand-new business owner. Trello is super simple to use, and it has a free version
I know some business owners who have always used Trello and wouldn’t switch. It’s really your preference. You can set up boards with task cards, website info, and business info such as your tagline, elevator pitch, etc. It’s very easy to move and edit cards around, add others to your boards and personalize it to meet your needs.

Calendly
Calendly is a great resource for scheduling and is super easy to use. You can get a free version or the paid version, but try it out the free version first. It may be all you need at this point.
Set up an account and then link your website, correspondence, etc. to the calendar. Clients can choose a particular day/time to meet with you and it’s all set. You get alerts and can customize it to your exact needs. calendly.com
Dropbox
Dropbox is a cloud-based program that not only stores files, videos, etc. but is a shared workspace.
I love how easy it is to create documents, share those with others and not have to go in and out of programs or apps. Pricing can be free (for your own personal use) or, if you have a small team, can be as low as $12.50/month.
Dropbox offers a free trial for any plan you might be interested in purchasing. What do you have to lose – except some important files! dropbox.com
Carbonite
Carbonite is a cloud-based backup program that I personally use to back up EVERYTHING on my computer.
It doesn’t matter if you spill your coffee on it, drop it, or have a kid crash the whole system, you don’t have to worry. Everything will still be there, safe and secure.
The cost is well worth the peace of mind (and it’s not that expensive). Check it out! carbonite.com
GoDaddy
This is a great place to get your domain name. Type in the name you want and GoDaddy will search and tell you if it is available or not. You can get it for 1 year or up to 5 years. Hint: If you really like the name, lock it in for 5 years. godaddy.com
ExpertVA®
Virtual Expert®
Kathy Goughenour is the founder and has created the premier training program for virtual assistants.
I took her training and it is truly the gold standard if you are serious about creating your own VA business. There are training modules, webinars, one-on-one coaching, and so much more.
The Expert VA community is very supportive and this is the place to go to find a team member that is an expert in the services you need. expertvatraining.com
